New Homemade Moisturizing Spritz Recipe

After completing my first batch of homemade moisturizing spritz, I wanted to focus the second batch on alleviating my dry, itchy scalp. In a 5 oz spray bottle from Dollar Tree, I mixed:
  • 1 tablespoon Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Conditioner
  • 0.25 teaspoon Olive Oil
  • 4 drops Lavender Essential Oil
  • 3 drops Rosemary Essential Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Aloe Vera Juice
  • 3 ounces distilled water

This batch is definitely not as oily nor has as much slip as the first batch I made using the Knot Today Leave-In Conditioner. I tried it last night after my wash session, and I liked how the spritz smoothed down my hair. The ends of my twists curled up nicely rather than bushy and frizzy and my scalp felt refreshed from the cool aloe vera juice. The essential oils give the spritz I nice calming scent.

I will see how well my hair reacts to this particular mix over the next week as I continue my 4-week moisturizing challenge. Since this spritz contains aloe vera juice, I have to remember to place it back into the refrigerator after use so it does not spoil prematurely. My hair is definitely appreciating all this moisture love. :-)
